Phin Upham attended Harvard University, becoming Editor-in-Chief of the Harvard Review of Philosophy. The Harvard Review is a student-published annual journal compiling essays and interviews from notable philosophers, some of which are on the staff of the university.
Phin Upham’s academic research has centered on the study of innovation and examining how complex social institutions like government, culture, and economics interact to create an environment conducive to success. He attended the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, where his dissertation yielded three papers on economic theory. Phin has since moved to a career in finance.
Phin Upham has had essays published on topics as diverse as economics, philosophy, charity, and business management. He continues to write and contribute to a number of blogs including Philosophy & Truth.
